A Little Inspiration!!

If you are a personal friend, or a family member, you know about our constant "Home Projects." It's been constant. Since we moved into our home. But we've really enjoyed it!

In the beginning, it was all about new floors, and painting. Then little by little, we've tackled other projects. Big projects! Remodeling our Master Suite. Then our bathrooms. Baby Jelly Bean's nursery, that was a work of great love! My favorite project hands down!!

We've even tackled our weird den. And all those old built ins. Our back patio. And eventually, the kitchen. All the "hard spaces." The "bones" of our home. But the fun stuff, the decorating, has been coming along slowly.

Don't be surprised when I tell you, we're nowhere near done! There are still some spaces, that we have to finish up. Things that we've been searching for inspiration for. That is why I was so happy, when I found these 2 pictures! Hello! Just my style!!

This pantry nook area, is perfect! We have this odd space. Our laundry room is large. And sits between our kitchen, and our garage. It's a pretty large room. With the washer and dryer to one side. At the opposite end, is a gorgeous window. The previous owners, had a large desk there. But I couldn't imagine a desk in this space. It just didn't seem like a useful space to me.

This picture has given me some ideas. We could try our hand at a built in unit. It would be the perfect place, to display some of my collection. You've got it! I collect colorful dishes, and glass! It would definitely be a pretty sight, when I'm doing laundry.

This sitting area, just makes my heart sing! We've got an odd shaped area, off of the kitchen. I'm thinking, it was designed to be a Breakfast nook. But I just had no inspiration for the space. We've had a small table there. With some flowers on it. That's pretty much it! And every time I see it, I think, I need to do something in that space!

Now that I see this picture, I'm so inspired! We have this gorgeous light fixture, that we bought long before we owned a home. And it's traveled around with us. It's perfect for this space! Now I just need to convince Jose to build us a window seat. I'm positive that I can figure out, how to sew some pillows. And I think I know where to find the perfect chairs!

This is a project, that has been years in the making! I finally found some inspiration. Now, Jose and I, need to make some time. A space like this, would be perfect for breakfast eating, bird watching, and menu planning! I can't wait!! :)

Diapees and Wipees

Again, I turned my more experienced friends. And I heard about the Diapees and Wipees. It sounded like a great thing. So I came home and Googled. Love me some Google! And I found this cute one. For $15. Not bad. I think this would be a great thing to throw in my purse when I run to the grocery store. Or maybe getting this one for Jose to put in his case. Just something to have a few necessities handy. :)

Baby Wipe Container

I found this during a recent Google search. I was looking for Babylegs. And I got a little side tracked on this website. I really like the look of this baby wipe container. I think it would add some fun to changing diapers. Which I know isn't the funnest thing in the world.

But this is cute. It's also $30. I'm thinking that is pretty crazy! Being that it's just fabric over a plastic container. And a little trim. I'm hoping I can find something similar that's less expensive. Because the price is a bit crazy. :)

Babylegs

I had never heard about Babylegs before. Until I was talking to Sals. She was telling me that La Chiquitita had made some for a friend. Whose baby is crawling. They're supposed to protect the baby's knees and legs from rug burns. Heck, I had no clue.

I came home and Googled them. Have I told you? I have a love affair going on with google. But I found these. For $12. And they're cute. Now I'm not yet a mommy, but I'm learning new things every day. It's a good thing we have friends who already have babies. :)

Nursery Love

Now that we know that we're having a baby girl, I've been searching for nursery themes. Well, not really themes. But more of cute nursery looks. If you haven't figured it out, we really like bright colors. And lots of color.

But I really want a white nursery. Something clean looking. Believe it or not, we don't have a single white room in our home. But we also wanted color. Something cheerful and bright. Something our daughter could grow with.

Today I found these pictures! This just got all my creative juices flowing. And I really need to talk to La Chiquitita now. I know she will have all sorts of wonderful ideas for us. :)

I just love the idea of a painted crib. Something bright and cheerful. Maybe we could go with a bright pink one or even turquoise.

I just love the colorful rug! And the bright chair. I'm just not sure I'd want that much orange in Baby Jelly Bean's nursery.

I like the idea of all those picture frames. But I would want to paint them bright and fun colors. And then I would like to add some lullaby type pictures. Maybe painting some letters spelling out her name. And the dresser, I would like to buy a white one, like this one. But this add some color. Maybe colorful knobs or adding paint to the edges. Something like that.

But I'm feeling so inspired. I have so many ideas. I just don't know how to put them together. That's why I need La Chiquitita's help. We have a few months. But something is telling me, that I need to start moving on this. I just feel ready to begin now. :)

Jelly Bean Baby Clothes

Since we told everyone that we're pregnant, all I've wanted to do is shop. Is that normal? I'm just wondering. Every time we go to the store, I pick up something for Baby Jelly Bean. Yes, even the other night we went just went to buy milk. We came home with 2 dresses. :)

But isn't this the cutest bib ever? It's $12. But seriously, it's adorable!

And this onesie, adorable! I love it! It's a little pricey at $20. But I really, really want to buy it.

I've got these on my list. I need to order them. I mean come on. Jose calls me his Jelly Bean. And we're calling our little girl Baby Jelly Bean. This is just too perfect! :)

Yummy Cupcakes

These look so yummy! I came across them recently. I don't know where, or how I found them. But I saved the picture. And right now, I'm craving them. I really need to learn how to bake and decorate cakes. I could eat a dozen if you let me. :)

Jelly Bean Bracelet

Love, love, love this bracelet! I know, it's a child's bracelet. But it also costs £72.00. I don't know, that's like $90. I couldn't imagine spending that kind of money on a jewelry for a kid. But for me, I might. Because I really like this bracelet. And I'm pretty sure I won't lose it! :)

Learning to Cook from YouTube

I'm not the best of cooks. I try. My husband has patients with me. We were both raised in homes with delicious food. Both of our moms are amazing. Me? Not so much. But lately, I've been inspired by YouTube videos. Due to embedding things, I can't post the videos. But this one, looks good. 2 super, duper easy recipes. :)

This Santa Fe chicken one, also looks yummy. And being from the southwest, I know that's not how you make Santa Fe chicken. But it's quick, and so easy! Delicious too. So there you go, I'm becoming a bit more of a cook. Not just a warm up the food, let's go out to eat, or what kind of sandwich would you like kind of wife.

I do believe Jose is enjoying that. He has picked up a few pounds since being home. I'm thinking that he's just really enjoying being out of the military. And my cooking really is improving. I guess, I should watch more YouTube videos. Somehow, I missed all the family cooking lessons growing up.

And yes. I know these are all chicken recipes. But we've been trying to eat a little healthier around here. I know what you're thinking. Healthy? But this is definitely better than tacos al pastor, or gorditas every night. :)

Jelly Bean Day!

Happy Jelly Bean Day from our family to yours! What a great day! We're celebrating with some Jelly Bellies. My favorite! And you know, we may have to make a big deal about today. Being that we're the "Crazy Jelly Bean" family. Maybe a fun dinner out and jelly beans! :)
